Who are Tammy and Zoey?
I (Tammy) am the creator of this blog. Zoey is an imaginary character created by me to represent people
- Who have lived through abuse and neglect in childhood
- Who are trying to make sense of the past and how it impacts the present
- Who are beginning to walk the Good Road in search of healing
I will be talking with Zoey and explaining to her what she is going through, introducing her (and you!) to trauma recovery education in an easy-to-understand way. Zoey will be writing poems as a way to grieve.
Is Tammy a Real Person?
Yep, I am a real person. Jesus placed on my heart an unrelenting desire to help people with heart wounds heal from the hard stuff of life. I believe good friends and family are some of life’s most important gifts and am thankful for my friends and family! I am a wife and a mom of a teenager. For fun, I like to go exploring, paddleboard with my family, look at art and animals in the wild (especially baby ducks, swimming after their mom or climbing onto her back as she swims), and watch Bollywood movies.
Is Zoey a Real Person?
Nope, Zoey is a creation of my imagination to help people understand and heal from childhood trauma. But I talk about Zoey as if she is real. I hope people with heart wounds can see themselves in Zoey and experience Jesus’s immense compassion and help along the ongoing journey of healing.
